It auto-launches when I start the game and it works fine most of the time. So I'm currently using a script that makes the game run in borderless windowed mode and automatically enables Windows Aero for the v-sync (I have aero disabled by default) and also switches the desktop to 60Hz. Anyway, it can't be changed in the game or engine apparently. The topic below mentions being unable to force refresh rates in UE4, but those guys have the problem that UE4 always forces 60Hz, while my problem is that the game always forces the highest available refresh rate in fullscreen. I could try adding them via the driver control panel and check if it changes anything, but I doubt it. I have not tried to add custom resolutions via the driver control panel yet, mainly because I presume it does the same thing as CRU, while CRU is easier to use. V-sync is clearly disabled (tearing), but the monitor still switches to 75Hz when I try to run the game in fullscreen. Yes, the problem also occurs when I disable v-sync (via the driver control panel or via r.vsync in engine.ini or both). Thanks again for your elaborate reply! I appreciate it. I guess I'll just have to play in windowed mode, at least then it sticks to my desktop refresh rate (60Hz). Surely there must be a force refresh rate option for UE4 games? Man, I really hoped there would be just an easy refresh rate force option in an ini somewhere, just like with the previous UE3 Engine. I don't want to use CRU everytime to delete all the refresh rates and restart the system before starting the game, and then use CRU again to manually add all the refresh rates back and reboot the system again after playing the game. SFV is not the only game installed nor the only app I need to run at a specific refresh rate. The only way to circumvent it, is to delete ALL refreshrates using CRU, only leaving 60Hz.īut I need 50Hz and 75Hz for many, many different applications. Unfortunately, it doesn't solve the problem.Īvailable refresh rates in Windows 7 for my monitor at 1680x1050 are 50Hz, 59Hz, 60Hz, 72 Hz and 75Hz.ĭesktop (Windows hardware manager) is set at but somehow SFV always tries to use the highest available refreshrate for this resolution (75Hz).
